INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb hamburger
- white onion
- 1/2 of a small green bell pepper
- 15oz can of kidney beans
- 2 x 15oz cans of black beans
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 15oz can of diced tomatos (with green chili if available)
- 1/2 can of beer
- start browning the 1 lb of hamburger in a large stovetop pan
- while browning the hamburger, chop up the onion and bell pepper and add to the pan
- strain the beans with water then add to the pan
- add the chili powder (approx 1 tbsp, adjust to your taste)
- add about 1/2 can of beer (PBR, Coors)
- simmer for about 1 hour
- serve as-is or over chips to make chili nachos or over a hot dog to make a chili dog
TIPS
- clean as you go
- don't waste the other 1/2 can of beer!
